NEAL S. SOFIAN
Neal is recognized nationally for over 35 years of innovation in population-based and corporate health promotion/management, disease management, organizational change and knowledge sharing. He is responsible for commercializing the first and now largest telephonic coaching programs in the United States during the 1980s (now called Quit for Life) and many of the early health related social networking platforms including the American Cancer Society's Cancer Survivors Network. He is a noted author and speaker and continues to be acknowledged as one of the true innovators in the world of health behavior change.
Neal is currently the Director of Member Engagement at Premera Blue Cross where he is responsible for development strategies to engage the 1.9 million members of Premera in reaching their optimal health. He is currently focused on creating and implementing the Optimal Health intervention model focused on personalized messaging, rewards, and interventions. He has also been an adjunct professor at the University Of Washington School Of Public Health. Prior to Premera, Neal was the Director of Behavioral Interventions for Resolution Health after its acquisition of the NewSof Group of which Neal was the co-founder and CEO. The NewSof Group was a consulting and new media development companyfocused on scalablehealth change, learning, coaching, sharing, and support.
During his tenure at Group Health Cooperative, Neal served as Director of Innovation, Manager of Worksite and Community Programs, and General Manager of Health At Work, the Northwest's first worksite health promotion company in 1983. He designed health and productivity management services for regional and national employers incorporating health promotion, disease management, onsite primary care, and time loss management strategies.
Neal is the commercial founder of Free & Clear (now Quit for Life/Alere Smoking Cessation) smoking cessation, the recognized standard in smoking cessation services., His success in the development and implementation of smoke-free environments in the mid-1980s paved the way for healthy workplace policies nationwide, and the publication of the book, It Can Be Done, A Smoke free Workplace. He is a well-known author and speaker in the field of health management, humor and health, and the role of personalization and social networking. Neal holds a master's degree in public health from the University Of Missouri School Of Medicine.
Nate Kvamme, Vice President of Humana Wellness, has more than 20 years of experience in multiple arenas, including healthcare and consumer products, in international and domestic markets.
Nate recently joined the Humana Wellness organization from Humana's Alliance Development team, where he helped lead and expand the best-in- class primary care clinics for Humana members from none in 2013 to more than 33 today, serving more than 35,000 members in 11 geographies.
With Fortune 100 and startup experience, Nate cofounded B-cycle, bringing together Humana Inc., Trek Bicycle Corp, and CP+B to spin off the first U.S.-based bike-sharing company.
As a director in Humana's Innovation Center, he established the freewheelin' and Humanafit.com initiatives. Prior to Humana, Nate residing in Tokyo, Japan from 2001-2005, he also built out the Asia- Pacific business unit of Xyron Inc.
Nate is a graduate of Colorado State University (cum laude, B.S. Engineering), where he served as captain of the football team and earned All-American honors, and the University of Louisville (MBA Entrepreneurship with honors). Nate is also a four-time Ironman, including the World Championships in Kona, a two-time Leadville 100 MTB, and a NYC Marathon Finisher.
Hause has over 2 decades of health care sales and marketing experience and came to the Kaiser Permanente Hawaii region from Magellan Health Services in Avon, Connecticut where she served as senior vice president of Sales, Sales Operations, and Product Innovation. Prior to that, Hause served in several executive management positions with HealthNet and United Health Group in California, New York and Connecticut.
At Kaiser, Hause is responsible for providing leadership in Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business and the development and execution of business strategies for membership growth, creating and communicating marketing and sales strategies, bringing new innovations to market, and building and sustaining high performing sales and account management teams.
Hause received her master of business administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and bachelor's degree in international economics from California Polytechnic State University.
Marilu Cristina Flores
Marilu Cristina Flores is a veteran of the film and television industry. Her career in entertainment spans over thirteen years, having worked with some of the most prominent creative media houses known; including, Warner Brothers, MTV and Universal Pictures. In 2014, she shifted gears to begin working as a Digital Marketing Professional. Prior to her work at Florida Blue, she worked for Keurig in Waterbury, Vermont. Aside from her career in digital marketing Marilu holds a specialized degree in Marine Science and is incredibly passionate about our oceans, wildlife, and conservation. She has been featured as a guest speaker at numerous conferences nationwide, for her knowledge and expertise on marine environments, as well as how to empower nonprofits to use social media to further their message and fundraise. In 2016, she was elected as Vice-Chair of the board for the Surfrider Foundation's Miami Chapter.
Andrew holds over 20 years of leadership, organizational performance and business development experience. He has consulted to some of the world's largest companies, including Shell Oil, McDonald's, Nokia, British Aerospace, Unilever, Blue Cross Blue Shield and many others.
Although his consulting experience is the source for many of his insights, Andrew's real passion is public speaking. Sean Radlich is manager of digital experience for HealthNow New York Inc., headquartered in Buffalo, NY and with locations in Albany, NY, Blue Bell, PA and Sacramento, CA. In his role, Radlich strategically leads, develops and enhances HealthNow's digital experience by building and maintaining the company's websites, mobile apps and crafting its overall digital vision.
Under his direction, HealthNow received the 2015 Best New Website of the Year award from Infotech Western New York. Additionally, Radlich's innovative efforts also earned the company the 2015 Silver ADDY from the Advertising Club of Buffalo and the Best of Blue award from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.
With over 17 years of digital marketing experience, Radlich previously served as vice president of digital and marketing services for Travers Collins, an integrated marketing firm. Prior to that, he was senior digital strategist for Canalside Media and digital manager for The Buffalo News.
Radlich earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Buffalo.
Radlich serves on the board of directors, the marketing committee and the strategic planning committee for the Epilepsy Association of Western New York. He also serves on the gala committee for Camp Good Days & Special Times. Radlich is also an active real estate investor and enjoys running, having completed 7 marathons.
Saeed founded Decision Point with the mission of improving health plan clinical, financial and operational performance through informed, data-driven predictions on strategic decisions. He has more than 25 years of health information technology experience, with a track record of developing innovative approaches to solve complex business problems. He has held key senior management positions at Eliza Corporation, Ingenix (currently Optum), IHCIS and ProVentive, where led high-performing teams focused creative uses of technology for practical problem-solving. Saeed is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Economics.
Patrick Tracy is the Senior Director of Marketplace Operations for UPMC Health Plan of Pittsburgh. In addition, he also oversees the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) product at UPMC, known as UPMC for Kids, which is the largest CHIP program in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Tracy has almost 20 years of experience in health care administration and consulting, with a focus on product implementations, operations, and regulatory compliance. He has presented at national conferences on many topics, including member retention and engagement, Exchange compliance, and regulatory audit readiness.
Prior to joining UPMC Health Plan, Mr. Tracy was a health and human services consultant with Deloitte in Pittsburgh and with CGI Group, Inc., in New York City. He has a B.A. from Wheaton College in Massachusetts and an M.P.A. from New York University.
Burns has over 20 years marketing and public relations experience and has served as director of marketing and communication for Priority Health, Michigan's second largest health plan, since 2014.
In her Priority Health role, she oversees marketing and communications loyalty strategy for over 800,000 members and 35,000 providers with the goal of creating a meaningful customer experience that engages members to understand how to use their plan, so they can live their lives to the fullest.
Burns came to Priority Health from Lambert, Edwards & Associates, Inc., a top-60 PR agency nationally and a top-10 PR firm in the Midwest, where she served as director in the health care and consumer practices, managing clients including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Mercy Health, MPI Research, Blackford Capital and Brillo. Prior to that, Burns served in several Midwest and national marketing and communications roles with Ernst & Young, including the Americas Strategic Growth Markets team that oversees the national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and the Americas Alumni Relations team.
Burns received her bachelor's degree from Aquinas College and serves as a co-chair of Family Promise of Grand Rapids, a West Michigan organization who partners with local congregations, individuals, families, foundations and corporations to provide emergency shelter and viable solutions for families with children who are facing a housing crisis.
Laura Cooley, PhD
Laura Cooley, PhD is Senior Director of Education and Outreach for The American Academy on Communication in Healthcare (AACH). She leads strategic efforts to support the AACH mission by collaborating with healthcare leaders to develop and deliver customized communication skills training programs. While earning her doctorate in health communication she examined organizational and interpersonal communication dynamics encountered across the healthcare context. Her research interests include the intersections between patient-centered care, interpersonal skills, mindfulness, empathy, and communication in the end-of-life context. She has led presentations at many notable U.S. healthcare centers and at national events hosted by organizations such as, The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), The American Medical Group Association (AMGA), Planetree, The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), The Beryl Institute, and Press Ganey.
Dena is the director of product marketing at Oscar Health-a venture backed health plan based in New York, New York. She works at the intersection of technology, data and design to help create a simple healthcare experience. Prior to Oscar, Dena started her healthcare career in Washington, DC spanning organizations including CMS (CCIIO), HHS (Office of the Secretary), the US Senate (US Senator Bernie Sanders) and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Shameet Luhar's passion lies at the intersection of healthcare and technology. As Vheda Health's CEO, Shameet is responsible for leading an organization that is humanizing healthcare, through technology. Under Shameet's leadership, Vheda Health has partnered with some of the nation's largest health plans, with a 12 million population reach and growing.
Shameet is a veteran of the health insurance industry, holding various positions at Anthem, CareFirst, and Deloitte. At Anthem, Shameet implemented various care and disease management programs for 33 million Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare members. Shameet's work on the Medicare STARS Outbound Call program was recognized by URAC with a 2013 Gold Medal. At CareFirst, Shameet led a variety of member engagement initiatives, including the successful implementation of their personal health record system.
Shameet received his MS in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University and BS from the University of Maryland - College Park.
Philip Rub is the President and co-founder of Vheda Health, responsible for implementing comprehensive data analytics reporting and financial models that have been instrumental in delivering 3:1 ROI and above for health plan partners.
Prior to Vheda Health, Philip was at Resolution Health, a data analytics startup that was purchased by Anthem. There, he developed the essential facets of a clinical-evidence- based rules engine that integrated and analyzed numerous types of claims data to generate clear and actionable clinical alerts and intervention opportunities. At Anthem, his work focused on evaluating ROI for case and disease management programs touching more than 33 million insured lives.

Bradley Marks serves as Chief Growth Officer at Vheda Health, bringing 17 years of health care experience. In this role, Bradley holds the responsibility for ensuring targeted growth for market dynamics, client needs and preferences while ultimately delivering on member satisfaction.
Previously, as the General Manager of Risk Adjustment Products at Inovalon, Bradley held the responsibility for planning, design, modeling, coordination and oversight of the retrospective risk adjustment solutions for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial risk adjustment products.
Prior to joining Inovalon, Bradley served as Vice President of HouseCalls Operations for the Medicare and Retirement division of UnitedHealthcare. In this role he led operational activities for both the prospective and retrospective functions. Prior to UnitedHealthcare's acquisition of XLHealth in 2012, Bradley helped construct both the HouseCalls and Retrospective Review programs at XLHealth, leading the creation of operational functions for each program, including the scheduling and escalation center, project coordination, practitioner helpdesk, and travel, and supply management support. Bradley began his tenure at XLHealth as a Project Manager for disease management operations across several clients. Prior to XLHealth Bradley worked for Mid-Atlantic Health Plans and American WholeHealth, Inc.
